About

Sheryll Pak

Neurological physiotherapist. HCPC-registered, CSP-chartered, and neuro-only by design. If you book, Sheryll is the person who comes to your door.

The Physiotherapist

One specialist, who comes to you.

Sheryll Pak is a HCPC-registered and CSP-chartered physiotherapist with specialist training and experience in neurological rehabilitation — particularly stroke recovery and elderly rehabilitation.

She started St Albans Neuro Physio to bring that level of specialist care directly into patients' homes, removing the barriers of travel, waiting rooms, and the limited provision available to people who need ongoing specialist support.

The practice is deliberately narrow. Sheryll does not treat sports injuries or general musculoskeletal problems, because neurological rehabilitation is a field where depth matters more than range.

She is also the only person who will treat you. There is no rota, no pool of visiting staff, and nobody to bring up to speed halfway through — which matters more than it sounds when progress is measured in small changes week to week.

Sheryll previously worked as a physiotherapist at The Wellington Hospital in St John's Wood, London, where complex neurological rehabilitation is routine daily work. She no longer works there, and the practice has no connection with the hospital — but that is where a good deal of the experience she brings to a front room in St Albans was built.

Credentials

What the registrations actually mean.

Two of these are legal requirements to practise. The rest are choices.

HCPC Registered

The Health and Care Professions Council is the UK regulator. Every physiotherapist must be HCPC registered to practise legally, and the register is public. You can look Sheryll up by name at hcpc-uk.org before you let her into your home, and we would encourage you to — with anyone you invite in, not just us.

CSP Chartered Member

The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy is the profession's body. Chartered membership signals adherence to its professional and ethical standards, and carries the indemnity cover that goes with them.

Specialist Neuro Training

Postgraduate training in neurological physiotherapy: stroke rehabilitation, spasticity management, and treatment built on neuroplasticity. Kept current through ongoing CPD in stroke rehab and falls prevention.

Hospital Experience

Sheryll previously worked as a physiotherapist at The Wellington Hospital, St John's Wood. Neurological rehabilitation at that level is demanding, detailed work, and it sets the standard she now brings to home visits. She no longer works there and the practice is independent of it.

Approach

How Sheryll works.

Every patient is different. The starting point is genuinely understanding your situation: your goals, your fears, your home environment, and what matters most to you and your family.

The techniques are evidence-based and grounded in current neuroscience — the principles of neuroplasticity, motor learning and task-specific training. They are delivered with warmth rather than clinical detachment.

Recovery from a stroke or a fall is not only physical. It involves confidence, motivation and emotional wellbeing, and Sheryll works with family members where that support matters.

Sessions are always in your home. Never rushed, never impersonal, because recovery should happen in the places that matter to you.
